Start from a preset or build your mini from scratch, give it the battle pose you want and download a to-scale PDF. Cut it out, fold it, and it reaches the table before anyone rolls initiative.

From screen to table in three turns
Choose how to start
With a preset: sixteen peoples and monsters, nine adventuring classes, seven townsfolk trades and thirteen beasts, from the wolf to the dragon. Or from scratch, with a bare body or a block mannequin.
Gear it up
Swap the helm, weapon and cloak, paint its colors and set the pose. If you want to go further, edit it block by block.
Print and fold
Download one PDF with every mini on the sheet. Scissors, one fold and a dab of glue, and it’s in play.
Paper minis ready to print
Use them for ideas or to skip the blank page. Each one has its own page with the front and the back: print it as it is, or take it to the editor and change whatever you like.
Beasts and mounts
Make yours from scratch
You don’t have to start from anything ready-made. Begin with a bare body or a block mannequin and build the figure you have in mind: the 3D editor lets you add, erase and paint cubes on every body part, resize pieces and give it any pose.
What you make is saved in your browser. Switching computers? Export the file and take it with you.

- How to make paper minis, step by step
A paper mini is the cheapest way to put every character and every monster on the board. Here’s how to make one with MiniFold, from picking the character to holding it folded.

Which paper to use, scale, cuts and putting the base together.
- Which base size to use
In grid-based games every square is one inch (about 25 mm), and the base tells how many squares the creature takes up.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a paper mini?
- A paper miniature for role-playing games. It’s a strip with the character’s front and back that folds in half and stands on its own, on a paper base or in a plastic stand.
- Is it free?
- Yes, completely. You don’t need an account, there are no ads, no paid version and nothing for sale. If you want, you can support the project with a donation.
- Can I make a mini from scratch?
- Yes. The presets are a starting point, not a limit. In the editor you can begin with a bare body or a block mannequin and build the figure block by block, with its own colors and pose.
- Do they work for D&D?
- Yes. Bases are 25, 50 and 75 mm, the one-inch squares of D&D, Pathfinder and nearly every grid-based game.
- What do I need to print them?
- A regular printer, 160–220 gsm paper (or plain paper glued to card), scissors or a craft knife, and glue. The printing guide walks you through it.
